About Geoff

Owner, tour guide, motorcycle enthusiast

Geoff, the owner of Byron Bay Motorcycle Tours, was born in Ballina, NSW – nearby Byron Bay has always been one of his favourite places. He loves to surf at Wategos Beach, at the foot of the Cape Byron Lighthouse, which is also one of his favourite places to visit, especially during the whale migration.

Geoff began riding motorcycles on the family farm near Wardell at the age of 10. Spending most of his adult life living at Newrybar, between Ballina and Byron Bay, motorcycles have always been a passion of his. It’s no surprise that two of his sons, Warren and Jason, are keen riders also. Geoff’s partner, Fran, loves the thrill of a ride, and is always keen to get on and go. Not only riding in Australia, they have ridden many times in the USA.

Geoff has shared his love of riding with many a friend and family member. He is now sharing his motorcycle experience through his motorcycle services – combining his love of riding and the Ballina-Byron area to offer Tours, Hire & Chauffeured Scenic Rides to Wategos Beach and the Lighthouse, or along the Coast Road from Ballina to Lennox Head, or to Cabarita Beach, Uki, Yamba and further afield.

Geoff provides the opportunity for anyone to share the thrill of the ride, and the sights of the beautiful North Coast beaches and hinterland.

As well as chauffeured scenic rides on the back of the Yamaha XV 1700cc V Twin Cruisers, Geoff also offers the hire of his motorcycles for riders to go their own way, or guided tours utilising the local knowledge he has to ensure the best routes, cafes and local destinations!
